VANDEWIELE Group at Techtextil 2026 – Textile innovations together

The VANDEWIELEGroup will showcase its latest technologies for technical textiles at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt from April 21–24 (Hall 12.0, Stand C21). As a global leader in textile machinery, the group brings together specialised brands to support the evolving demands of high-performance textile applications. Visitors will discover solutions in laboratory testing, yarn joining, yarn feeding and thread tension monitoring, designed to create measurable value across the textile value chain.

By combining brands such as Mesdan, IRO, Memminger-IRO and Protechna, the group highlights its focus on technological leadership, innovation and close customer partnerships under the theme “Textile Innovations Together”.

Mesdan: complete lab solutions and joining devices

Mesdan will present complete laboratory solutions for the analysis of synthetic and man-made fibres, technical yarns and ropes, composites, performance and technical fabrics, personal protective equipment, plastic straps, nonwovens and geotextiles.

The portfolio also includes joining devices for regular and technical yarns, industrial and sewing threads, carpet yarns and high-tenacity rovings made of carbon or glass fibre, as well as polyester, nylon or aramid. These are used in applications such as automotive components, building construction, wind energy blades, sports equipment, fire extinguishing systems, optical fibres, airbags and bulletproof textiles.

Among the solutions on display is the new TENSOLAB 50kN (code 2515E) double-column universal tensile strength tester, equipped with a range of accessories for different testing applications and materials.

In addition, Mesdan will exhibit a combination of two splicers mounted on a movable trolley:

  • Jointair 116K/G for glass and carbon fibre rovings up to 5000 tex
  • Jointair 124 for Kevlar/aramid threads, designed for highest splice strength

Memminger-IRO: yarn feeding technologies for advanced materials

Memminger-IRO will present yarn feeding technologies designed to handle carbon, copper, wire, monofilament, polyamide and other sophisticated yarns in knitting processes for technical textiles.

Exhibits include storage feeders, electronic feeders and the MTD unspooling device.

IRO: XD X4 weft feeder with integrated tension control

IRO will showcase the XD X4 weft feeder, developed based on the established X4 generation to meet the increasingly diverse requirements of yarn fibres.

The system integrates the ATC-W technology, which maintains optimal yarn tension throughout the entire weaving cycle. This contributes to improved performance and enhanced product quality across a wide range of textile applications.

The X4 weft feeders feature an integrated display for monitoring current settings and alarms, with adjustments made directly via a control knob.

Protechna: automated thread tension monitoring

Protechna will present the TENSOSCAN 2 (5374) system for continuous, automatic monitoring of the tension of each individual thread in a yarn sheet.

A measuring head moves across the full width of the yarn sheet at a speed of 2 metres per minute, detecting deviations from predefined tension limits.

Thanks to its wireless design and universal measuring sensor suitable for all yarn types, the system allows the measuring carriage to be used across multiple warping machines.

Key features include:

  • reliable monitoring of the tension of each thread
  • fast detection of threads outside preset tension limits
  • wireless design enabling use on several warping machines

Visitors are invited to learn more about the group’s latest developments and discuss specific requirements with the Vandewiele team at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt (Hall 12.0, Stand C21).
