Esquel recognized in UN Global Compact's Guidebook on Gender Equality

Esquel has been featured as one of the eight remarkable case studies in the #UNGC’s latest report, “Women at Work: Chinese Companies Taking Action on Gender Equality”, released on International Women's Day. The guidebook highlights our commitment to fostering gender equality within our organization and offers valuable guidance to advance ESG and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in China and beyond.

Our Chairman, Marjorie Yang, represented Esquel at the guidebook's release event in Beijing, and our Chief People Officer, Queenie Huang, contributed to a thought-provoking roundtable discussion on gender equality, emphasizing our dedication to an inclusive work environment.

At Esquel, we believe that every individual has the power to drive positive change. As a pioneer, we were among the first Chinese companies and early adopters worldwide to join the UNGC. Since 2000, we have taken significant strides in integrating non-discrimination policies into our overall strategies, aligning with the principles of the UNGC.

In furtherance of our commitment, Esquel has successfully completed the Target Gender Equality (TGE) Programme, a gender equality accelerator programme in collaboration with Global Compact Local Networks. This program has equipped us with the tools and knowledge to drive gender equality and create lasting impact within our workplace and beyond.

Marjorie Yang, Chairman of Esquel Group, was honored to attend the guidebook´s release event in Beijing.
