Many attendees came together to discuss future and innovative perspectives on denim production in Egypt. The Egyptian textile industry is currently experiencing rapid growth, and MIC Group, with its branch in Alexandria, Egypt – Cometex Threads Sae – is ready to serve this promising market full of opportunities.

The event, subtitled “Italy-Egypt synergy”, also involved three key Italian actors in the textile industry: Nexia, a manufacturer of laundry machinery and laser technology; Officina39, a specialist in chemical solutions; and SIP Italy, an automation specialist for sewing.

MIC Spa is a sewing thread manufacturing company based in Vallese di Oppeano, in the province of Verona (northern Italy), collaborating with numerous renowned industries in the denim, fashion, clothing, and footwear sectors. With a business history in the textile industry spanning over 100 years, the company’s drive for experimentation and innovation has consistently enabled it to seize the opportunities globalization has brought to the textile industry since the 1990s. MIC has committed to an internationalization strategy that has proven successful. This approach has allowed MIC Spa to expand its horizons and territorial reach by embracing new markets in Europe and North Africa. The drive towards innovation and the desire to improve even further led the company to open a second production facility in 2011, in Alexandria, Egypt: Cometex Threads Sae.

This was a strategic and targeted decision in order to ensure closer proximity to clients, offering competitive advantages in terms of both logistics and long-term economic sustainability.

Cometex is not just a production hub; it is a bridge between Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. From here, MIC Group can provide tailored solutions to brands worldwide, addressing the specific demands of both the local Egyptian and international markets.

MIC Spa remains firmly convinced that the future of the denim industry in Egypt is full of opportunities, and it stands ready to support and collaborate with companies, brands, and retailers seeking to establish commercial relationships. It offers high-quality threads that enhance quality and contribute to creating a more sustainable and responsible world.

This is a significant achievement for MIC Spa, a reliable and innovative partner committed to helping manufacturers and brands achieve their quality and sustainability goals. The company’s experience, combined with its local presence through Cometex, allows it to offer tailored solutions for the Egyptian market, guaranteeing high-quality products and fast delivery times.
