Lenzing shareholders approve €300 million capital increase

Shareholders of Lenzing AG have approved a capital increase of approximately €300 million, providing financial support for the company's recently announced "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" strategy.

The capital increase, approved at an Extraordinary General Meeting on August 25, will strengthen Lenzing's equity base and financial flexibility while supporting the implementation of its strategic realignment. The company plans to complete the transaction by February 25, 2027, with the final terms to be determined by the Management Board and Supervisory Board.

"The broad support from our shareholders demonstrates their confidence in our strategic realignment," said CEO Georg Kasperkovitz. "The capital increase strengthens our financial structure and is a key building block for implementing our 'Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles' strategy."

The Extraordinary General Meeting also elected Martin Seiter to the Supervisory Board, succeeding Franz Gasselsberger, who stepped down at his own request.

Lenzing announced its "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" strategy in July 2026 as part of a broader repositioning of the company. The strategy places greater emphasis on its nonwovens business while resetting its textiles operations to improve profitability and long-term competitiveness.
