FET prepares for final exhibition of 2025

FET at ITMA ASIA SINGAPORE © 2025 FET
Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd (FET) of Leeds, UK has completed its second major exhibition of 2025 at ITMA ASIA in Singapore, which is aimed at the textile and garment industry in South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Once again, this trade show proved to be a successful one for FET, with considerable interest from several countries surrounding China.

Southeast Asia seems to be booming in technical textile development and FET has built up an excellent business relationship with many of these companies over the last two decades, with a growing range of extrusion equipment in the field. FET also boasts a number of specialist technical agents throughout Asia and is seeking to further expand this customer service in the future.

FET designs, develops and manufactures extrusion equipment for a wide range of high value textile material applications worldwide and the variety of exhibitions attended illustrates FET’s growing scope in the wider industry.

These events will be completed at COMPAMED 2025 between 17-20 November in Dusseldorf, Germany. COMPAMED is widely recognised as a major international trade fair for the medical technology supplier sector and FET’s stand is located in Hall 08B Stand 8BJ09.

FET’s Managing Director Richard Slack commented. “A presence at these important exhibitions provides an excellent opportunity for FET to meet customers on the international stage and reflects our growing influence in the fields of technical textiles, medical device innovation and many other sectors.”

This influence will be further emphasised at COMPAMED, where FET will be launching the FET-500 Series of gel spinning systems. These systems have the potential to revolutionise the research and development of UHMWPE fibres, with significant savings in cost, footprint and environmental factors.

In support of this launch, Dr Kristoffer Kortsen, Senior Material & Process Scientist at FET will be giving a talk at COMPAMED 2025, introducing the novel process and equipment used in the FET-500 series, showcasing the agile and user-friendly capabilities of this research line. Dr Kortsen is leading the technical development of the FET-500 series systems. Prior to joining FET, he developed a deep understanding of polymer synthesis, recycling and processing from a range of academic and industrial positions. The talk commences at 4.30pm on Monday, November 17.
