Biella Yarn launches Collection “Reimagined” for Spring/Summer 2027 with fresh approach to fibre design

New yarn blends and expressive colours for modern summer knitwear

Biella Yarn, the flat knitting brand of Suedwolle Group, introduces its Spring/Summer 2027 collection “Reimagined” featuring refined yarn blends and advanced spinning technologies designed for contemporary summer knitwear. Under the motto “And the story goes on…”, Biella Yarn continues to push the boundaries of responsible yarn development, offering versatile materials that elevate modern craftsmanship.

New this season is GM Morwell Nm 2/30 and 2/48 (60% Cotton, 40% Merino Wool Extrafine TEC), an intimate blend of wool and cotton from the Gammaspun range. This combination of fibres delivers the durability and dry touch of cotton alongside the softness and elasticity of wool. Natural tonal contrasts create subtle mélange effects, adding depth and sophistication to garments.

The new spinning technology Gammaspun enables the combination of cellulosic fibres with 20–50% Merino wool, resulting in fabrics with clean structure, smooth surfaces, and improved pilling performance.

Also introduced is Alisei Nm 2/30 and Nm 2/48 (80% Merino Wool Extrafine, 20% GRS recycled wool) from the Karma-Yarns family. Marking Suedwolle Group’s latest step in promoting circularity, Karma transforms pre-production waste into new yarns – keeping materials in use and reducing reliance on virgin resources.

The range of natural blends around Merino Wool and Linen had been broaden by adding new yarns with natural fibres Ramie Avalon Nm 2/48 (50% Merino Wool Extrafine, Total Easy Care; 30% Ramie, 20% Linen) and Avalon Nm 2/60 (50% Merino Wool Superfine, Super 120'S, Total Easy Care, 30% Ramie, 20% Linen). This particular blend makes knitwear light and shaped, while retaining the comfort and softness of wool.

Completing the collection is Sesel Nm 2/60 (70% Extrafine Merino Wool with anti-shrinkage treatment, 30% Alginate), a blend of wool and alginate. Derived from seaweed, alginate is a bio-based fibre that enhances cooling and provides a smooth hand-feel.

The Spring/Summer 2027 colour cards feature bold, dynamic shades balanced with refined neutrals. Vibrant pinks, saturated reds, and burnt orange tones harmonise with contemporary whites, beige, and greys – creating a fresh palette for the season.

In partnership with MRC Knitwear Research Studio and the luxury knitwear brand Ami Amalia, Suedwolle Group showcases the versatility of these yarns through various designs: crochet-like dresses and capes, airy net textures, and elegant drapes.
