Eastman Naia™ brings its inside-out denim vision to Kingpins New York

Three distinct directions – Performance, Fashion and Authentic Denim – show how Naia™ Renew enhances comfort, dry feel and design versatility while preserving denim’s unmistakable character.

Following its debut at Kingpins Amsterdam, Eastman Naia™ brings the next chapter of its denim story to Kingpins New York, taking place July 22–23. At Booth Green 7, Naia™ presents its denim proposition built around three complementary design directions: Performance Denim, Fashion Denim and Authentic Denim.

Together, they demonstrate how Naia™ Renew staple fiber can work within different blends and fabric constructions to enhance the wearing experience while maintaining the look, structure and identity associated with denim.

The proposition is expressed through a clear concept: transforming denim from the inside out. Authentic on the outside and enhanced within, denim made with Naia™ Renew combines recognizable style with lasting softness, a consistently dry feel and enhanced all-day comfort.

Beyond its functional benefits, Naia™ Renew brings sustainability and circularity into the fabric itself. The cellulosic acetate fiber is produced from 60% sustainably sourced wood pulp and 40% GRS-certified recycled waste material through mass balance accounting.

Performance Denim: denim that keeps up with you

Combining Naia™ Renew and polyester, Performance Denim is designed for active lifestyles and garments that move easily between different moments of the day.

Naia™ Renew brings cottony softness and moisture-management properties to the fabric, helping it maintain a dry, comfortable feel even in conditions of high heat and humidity. Its odor-management performance further supports freshness and all-day comfort.

Fashion Denim: stylish denim that feels as good as it looks

Blending Naia™ Renew with lyocell, Fashion Denim opens new possibilities for lighter, drier and more fluid constructions.

The combination allows designers and mills to explore contemporary silhouettes and fashion-led interpretations of denim, balancing visual appeal with softness, lightness and a dry feel.

From flowing shirts to lightweight separates, this direction demonstrates how denim can become more versatile without losing its distinctive attitude.

Authentic Denim: classic denim with a new dimension of comfort

Developed with Naia™ Renew and cotton, Authentic Denim preserves the familiar, natural look and structure of traditional denim while enhancing the way it feels against the skin. Naia™ Renew introduces lasting softness before and after washing, together with a dry, non-cling wearing experience, without compromising the authentic appearance that denim consumers value.

“Denim will always be rooted in authenticity, but expectations around comfort and versatility are changing,” said Chad Doub, Global Market Segment Manager, Casual Wear & Home. “With these three directions, we are showing how Naia™ Renew, woven into the weft of the fabric as the side that sits against the skin, delivers elevated wearing comfort while expanding what denim can deliver – from everyday performance to fluidity and classic character – without changing what makes it denim.”
